How does net metering work with NV Energy?
When your panels make more electricity than your home is using, the extra flows to the NV Energy grid and you earn a credit on your bill. Credits you don’t use carry forward to later bills.
For new solar customers, Nevada regulators set the export credit below the retail rate you pay for electricity. The rules change over time, so we explain the current NV Energy terms and how they affect your savings during your consultation.
How much does solar cost in Las Vegas?
The price depends on the size of your system, which depends on how much electricity your home uses, your roof and the equipment you choose. After reviewing your power bills, we give you a free, itemized quote.
You can pay cash, finance with a solar loan, or choose a power purchase agreement (PPA) with no upfront cost.
What financing options are available for solar?
Tempo offers three ways to go solar: cash purchase, a solar loan, or a power purchase agreement (PPA).
With cash or a loan, you own the system. With a PPA, a third party owns and maintains the system and you pay an agreed rate for the power it produces. We compare the options side by side for your home.
What happens after my solar panels are installed?
Your system can be turned on once NV Energy grants permission to operate (PTO). We handle every step to get there.
The steps are a county inspection, the net metering application, the interconnection agreement, a utility inspection and, finally, permission to operate.
Is Tempo Solar World licensed in Nevada?
Yes. Tempo Solar World, LLC holds Nevada State Contractors Board licenses C2-44494 and C25-876672.
You can confirm any contractor’s license with the NSCB license search at nscb.nv.gov.
What areas does Tempo Solar World serve?
We install solar across the Las Vegas Valley, including Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas. Our office is at 2925 E Patrick Ln Ste G, Las Vegas.
We also operate in Mérida, Mexico, as Tempo Solar Mexico.
Can I add a battery to my solar system?
Yes. A battery stores the solar power you don’t use during the day so you can use it in the evening or during a power outage.
We can include a battery with a new system or add one to many existing systems. We’ll check your system and electrical panel first.
